ABOUT ME
Hello, I'm Shelley
I'm a busy woman with many strings to my bow but when people ask about my greatest achievement, I always say the same thing: navigating life.
I know it can be difficult. I've been there. That's why I work to support people and organisations with the skills I've built over my life and career.
My story
I've brought up four children, worked as a journalist and editor, and led communications and engagement teams in the NHS . I've run several businesses and worked for a variety of NHS organisations, and local councils, the Local Government Association, and not-for-profits.
I've chased the work-life balance, fought my children's corner for the right education, battled through menopause, survived the empty nest and juggled a career, friendships and a relationship the whole way. I'm not going to pretend it's easy either.
For a long time I put everyone else first and quietly doubted myself. Coaching helped me move past self-doubt and imposter syndrome and start building a life that felt like mine. I learned that it's OK to put my own needs first. And it feels great.
That's what I want for everyone I work with: to feel heard, understood, and to have their needs met.
How I work
My approach is personal and relationship-led.
Whether I'm working with you as an individual or an organisation, I work to your needs.
I have a fractional portfolio business, but when we're together or I'm working for you, you have my full attention, and you can lean on real knowledge and experience too.
Compassion
No judgement, ever. Whatever you bring is welcome, and you're met with kindness.
Empathy
I've faced many of the same struggles, so I listen with real understanding, not a script.
Connection
With yourself first, and with others who get it. Nobody should have to work things out alone.

Respect
We're all different and whoever you are and whatever your background you can expect me to treat you with respect and dignity.
Authenticity
I'm unashamedly me. I'll give you honesty, truth and my authentic self.
Partnership
Working with and in partnership is my mantra.
